I am an assistant professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego. I hold the Jerome Namias Chair. My primary research interests are in climate dynamics, including sea ice, paleoclimate, abrupt climate change, and large-scale circulation of the ocean and atmosphere.
